The Society of Tribology awards annual prizes for exceptional performance and merit in the field of tribology for dissertations, diplom theses, as well as master’s or bachelor’s theses. This prize includes financial support. Nominations are welcome and can be submitted to the Society’s business office. The purpose of the award is the certification of excellence for recent achievements in the field of tribology. This prize is conferred in recognition of exceptional achievements by young scientists and engineers. The work should be characterised by the following features:
- recognisable applicability
- scientific orientation
- up-to-date status
- independent, creative contribution
- clear-cut form of the content
The Society of Tribology awards its annual prize in three categories:
- Category 1: for dissertations or similar scientific theses
- Category 2: for diplom or master’s theses
- Category 3: for bachelor’s or similar theses
Candidates shall be no more than 40 years of age. The award includes financial support as well as a certification document.
